Liberty Interior Design Ltd. was established in 2016 offering consultation services and has grown to the full-service design firm we are today offering a full suite of in-person and virtual design services.
Meet Erin Liberty, our CEO and Founder:
Hey friends! My name is Erin Liberty and I am the founder of Liberty Interior Design Ltd. I am a small-town girl with a big-time heart and soul. I am married to my amazing and talented husband Joe; and mother to the boys who stole my heart, Jackson and Hayden.
I was fortunate enough to spend the last 20 years creating a successful corporate career; a Chartered Professional Accountant in the Energy Industry is where I spent most of my time. I loved my career and was afforded so many opportunities to grow personally and as a leader. At work, I was passionate about strategy and growing something from nothing and helping others develop their careers.
As a professional businesswoman, I believe you can be all you dream to be and at Liberty Home I continue to help others fulfill their life dreams. At home, in our spare time, my husband and I enjoy remodeling projects, flipping houses and designing and building our own furniture. In 2015, I went back to school to gain a degree from the Interior Design Institute of Canada, starting Liberty Interior Design Ltd. in 2016. Our company is a source of so much pride for me and our family; we love the feeling of making home dreams come true.We are located in Southwestern Ontario Canada in the lovely city of Chatham. The municipality of Chatham-Kent is known as the “Classic Car Capital of Canada”. At Liberty Home we love to service our local clients. However, we also design worldwide, utilizing our virtual design platform.
Meet Joe, our talented in-house craftsman:
Joe has over 25 years of experience in the home design industry. He has worked with custom home builders across the province and now brings his passion for bringing home dreams to life to handcrafting custom wood furnishings for the Liberty Collection and in our clients’ designs. He also provides renovation consulting through Liberty Interior.
Meet the Liberty Lifestyle Team-leader:
Sue Hawkins is the lead professional organizer and creator of Clutter Busters. She especially empathizes with the “sandwich generation” who strive to combine work, raising children, supporting aging parents, while trying to find time to enjoy friends and leisure activities.
Sue combines her experience in interior decorating, a passion for organizing and over 20 years of working closely with seniors to help you surround yourself with what you truly love.
Her humorous and non-judgmental approach to “stuff” will help you discover your calmer, more peaceful and productive life.

Our Liberty Marketplace, online artisan showroom offers our clients access to products handmade by local artisans as well as one of a kind furnishings designed specifically for you by our talented designers.
The newest addition to the Liberty Home group is our Liberty Lifestyle suite of services. The Lifestyle services are focused on streamlining and creating systems to help you make space for what matters. We want to raise the energy in your home so you can live your best life. We offer professional organizing, high vibrational living consultations and life skills courses. Our services range from in-person to 100% virtual, allowing us to service clients world wide.

In 2020, the need for access to high quality, socially responsible home décor items was very apparent, not only for use in our designs but also in support of our community. People are investing in their homes and they deserve to have access to unique products at affordable prices. As a result of this need and wanting to design one of a kind home décor items for our clients, we created the Liberty Collection. We design custom rugs, throws, pillows and soft wall art.
It’s amazing when you just stop and look around, how much talent there is right in front of you. That is what happened when our founder started looking for products in early 2020. Without access to physical stores, we needed to get creative.
Yes, shopping online is an option. However, as an interior designer, seeing with your eyes and touching the products is key in pulling the design project together. We then started a social media campaign to find local talent which grew to build a community of artisans who could supply home décor items for our designs… and that is how the idea was born to create an e-commerce marketplace shop.
Liberty Marketplace provides access to talented artisans in our own community with options for local pick-up and shipping.
